Question: I have a question about getting a new smile. It's rather long, so bear with me. I want my teeth to be white and straight -- not -- "oh my gosh her teeth are like a flashing neon sign." Instead I want people to say something like, "I love your smile!" rather than "Wow, your teeth are WHITE!" I don't want silver fillings or lines around the tops of my teeth. I don't want them to look thick and opaque. I want them to look natural and to have a translucency about them. Can you do this? Answer: We really try hard to give our patients the look they desire. Some people want to have "movie star white" teeth, while others like you, prefer the "pretty" more natural look. We can do either. We really don't do "thick and opaque." Since we use all porcelain crowns or veneers, the dark lines around the tops are eliminated. Those lines are caused when using some metal-backed porcelains. We have many pictures of smiles we have created and we encourage you to look through them so you can show us what you like.
